Interview

What do you do?

I produce homewares using dyes from flowers, plants, seeds, berries, barks and vegetables

The dyes are natural, they do not pollute like chemicals. I'm revisiting old, natural methods, using renewable resources. No two products are ever the same and each has unique story to tell.

If I cannot grow the dyestuff or forage it; I source it ethically.

It is then made by hand, by myself, in small batch textiles and pressed artworks.

Where do you make everything?

I turned my garden shed into a studio where I do all my dying, drying and making.

How long is the process?

Everything takes a minimum of 21 days. That's how long the drying and curing process takes in order to retain the colour. It cannot be rushed. It's a breath of fresh air in today's fast paced world.
